Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : Delhi to Lansdowne – Arrival and Sunset Views
Depart early from Delhi to avoid city traffic. The route via Meerut and Bijnor is the most common. Stop at Kotdwar for a quick break. You can visit the Siddhbali Temple, a revered shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located on the banks of the Khoh River. Arrive in Lansdowne and check into your hotel/resort. Have a traditional Garhwali lunch. Evening: Visit Tip-In-Top (Tiffin Top). This is the highest point in Lansdowne and offers a panoramic view of the snow-capped Garhwal Himalayas. On your way back, stop at the Snow View Point. Stroll through the Gandhi Chowk (Main Market) for some local souvenirs or snacks before heading back for dinner.
Day 2 : Exploration & Spiritual Retreat
After breakfast, head to the Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple (approx. 38 km from the main town). This ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is nestled amidst thick forests of Deodar and Cedar. eturn to town and visit the War Memorial and the Darwan Singh Museum. Note: The museum has specific timings (usually 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM). Relax at Bhulla Tal Lake. It is a small, man-made lake maintained by the Army. You can enjoy a quiet boat ride or walk across the small bridge over the lake. Visit St. Mary’s Church or St. John’s Church. These colonial-era churches offer beautiful architecture and a peaceful atmosphere.
